Looking for 3 actors; 2 females and 1 male; These 3 actors will play multiple roles. Looking for actor/singers who can learn material as independently as possible. The vocal range is low average. The lowest note is G or F# below middle C. Nothing goes particularly high.
Diverse actors are encouraged to submit.
Synopsis:
Mimi Maya Clemens (20) has won an opportunity of a lifetime. Her favorite talk show host, Hopera, has invited her to be on her show and promises to fix her of her anxiety problem once and for all. This musical is about Mimi’s journey to the talk show and her struggle with anxiety.
Character BIOS
Mimi Maya Clemens AGE: 20
She hasn’t left her parents place in years. Awkward, nerdy, anxious hopeful. The ability to rap is necessary.
HOPERA (40-45)
A successful TV talk show host who has a solution to all of life’s dilemma’s. She has the voice of a gospel singer.
SAMMY LANGSFORD 20-25
Mimi’s boyfriend, nerdy, nice guy who is very supportive and helpful to Mimi
MABEL 25-30
A representative from the Hopera show, a chipper camp councillor type with an envious side. This part will most likely be read/sung by the same person who plays Sammy.
