Lady Gaga Stole My Friggin Act! is a song written for a character named Mabel in the musical I’ve been working on called Mimi and the Music. Mabel is a supporting character and is a representative/assistant to singer/talk show host/motivational speaker Hoprah. Whilst Mabel is warming up the crowd before Hoprah makes her entrance – she takes the opportunity to tell everyone about her former roommate, Lady Gaga.
I did a staged reading of Mimi and the Music on April 23rd. Here is one short clip featuring Jodi Jahnke as Mabel and Michelle E. White as Hoprah. This song (as with all the songs in this musical) were co-written with: Murray Foster and Anita Beaty (who is also playing piano).
