Saw Les Miserables last night and loved it. I’d never seen it before so I have no previous performances to compare it to. I’d heard the songs. Especially ‘On My Own’ as it was one of the songs I’ve learned over the course of my little journey. But never seen it in context before. I love Hugh Jackman! Remember when I was in an elevator with him and giggled uncontrollably until I got off at the wrong floor and he said ‘bye’ to me. Those were the days. I dreamed a dream. I really love that song and enjoyed Anne Hathaway’s performance of it. I thought the actress who played the older Cosette was ok – she definitely looked the part but her voice seemed a little thin at times which I gather is what she was going for but I don’t know something was lacking. The main thing is that I love Hugh Jackman!
